Q. What kind of cell phone is needed for your tones?
A. You must have mobile internet and text messaging services enabled. If you're not certain whether your phone is Internet-enabled, please contact your wireless carrier for more help. Most newer phones are compatible.
Q. Are there recurring charges or membership fees?
A. There are absolutely no membership fees or recurring charges, there is a one time fee of 2.99 for each ring tone you purchase.
Q. How do I get the tone I want to my cell phone?
A. From your computers internet; preview the tones to make your choice. Click “Buy now” next to the tone you want to purchase. You will be taken to a screen to input your cell phone number, select the make and model of your cell phone, and select your cell service provider. You will also be prompted to enter your method of payment at this time. Once you do this, a text message will be sent to your cell phone that contains a link to the ringtone. Open the text message and select the embedded web address to send your browser to the tone. You will be asked if you want to download the tone at this point. Select yes and follow the instructions on your handset.
Q. What if my particular phone isn’t listed on your phone list?
A. Select the contact us tab on the bottom of the greektonez.com site. Fill out the info pertaining to your type of cell phone, cell phone number, etc. We will send you a free test tone to determine if your phone is compatible. Because new cell phones are introduced frequently, some models that our tones are compatible with may not have been added to the compatible list as of yet.
Q. Who is Xingtones?
A. Xingtones is the third party company that handles our billing and ringtone format conversions for the different carriers and cell phone models.
Q. Is it possible to access your ringtones directly from my cell phone without using my computer
A. Unfortunately, the only way to access our mobile content is by using your computer’s internet to send the tones to your handset.
Q. How can I tell if my cell phone is compatible with your tones?
A. Select the contact us tab on the bottom of the greektonez.com site. Fill out the info pertaining to your type of cell phone, cell phone number, etc. We will send you a free test tone to determine if your phone is compatible. Please make sure to tell us your exact make and model of cell phone. Most phones have this information listed on the back of the phone, under the battery. Example Motorola Razor V3…
Q. Are your tones compatible with the Blackberry, Treo, Sidekick or PDA line of products?
A. Our tones are compatible with newer Blackberry, Treo, and PDA devices. Some Treo models require the use of a sd memory card to store ringtones. Please refer to your phone’s instructions manual for specifics. Our tones ARE NOT compatible with Sidekick devices.
Q. What if my cell phone provider isn’t listed in your carriers list?
A. Many cell phone providers are merging and owned by parent companies. If you cell company isn’t listed on our carriers list, click on the contact us tab on the bottom of the Greektonez.com site and tell us the name of your cell provider, cell phone make and model, etc. We will send you a test tone to determine your providers compatibility with Greektonez.
Q. What are true tones/real tones?
A. True tones/real tones are ring tones which enable you to hear the actual recording. For ex. if you download Ciara’s 1,2 Step ringtone, you actually hear her voice on the ringtone.
Q. Will new tones be added?
A. Yes, every few months ringtones will be added. Make sure you join our mailing list to get the latest updates.
Q. What if I purchase a tone and do not receive it?
A. If your phone is compatible and you do not get your tone. Forward your email confirmation that you received from Xingtones when you purchased the ringtone to SUPPORT@GREEKTONEZ.COM. Please include the make and model of your cell phone, cell phone number, and cell provider. We will resend your tone to you manually within a matter of minutes.
Q. How does your company support the Greek Community?
A. We plan on assisting undergraduate chapters by donating to charities that outstanding chapters assist with, having contests, and aiding with community service in various ways.
Q. My tones sound funny or distorted?
A. Try turning your ringer down to prevent distortion. We digitally master and eq our tones to have the best sound quality possible. Newer cell phones sound better than older ones because technology has improved the speakers on newer cell phones. Keep in mind that you are listening to your ringtone on a half inch speaker so it will not sound like a probate show.
Q. Why haven’t I heard some of your chants before, how do you select which chants to use?
A. We don’t use chants that are derogatory to any other Greek Organizations, nor any chants that use profanity. Although we are members of our own individual fraternities/sororities, we want to keep it somewhat clean and positive by respecting fellow greeks. Our initial chants were recorded in the Southern Province, by actual members of each fraternity/sorority. We plan on working with other provinces to broaden our range and familiarity of chants.
Q. What are your different methods of payment?
A. You can make payment using our secured credit card payment system or using a paypal account.
Q. Who owns and operates Greektonez?
A. Greektonez, LLC is a private company started and owned by r&b music producer French Spencer who is an active member of The Divine Nine as well.

Q. How do I submit information about my organization to your company?
A. You can submit suggestions, names of new initiates, upcoming events info, photos, or anything else you’d like featured on our site to INFO@GREEKTONEZ.COM. Please include contact info in case we need to contact you pertaining to your submission.
